 President Hakainde Hichilema writes....

This afternoon, we held a productive bilateral engagement with His Excellency Shakhbout Bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, at State House in Lusaka.

The government-to-government partnership between Zambia and the UAE continues to grow from strength to strength, underpinned by robust trade and investment across key sectors such as mining, energy, agriculture, and tourism. These collaborations are strategically aimed at translating into tangible economic benefits, creating jobs, fostering entrepreneurship, and unlocking business opportunities for the people of both nations.

We also highly commend the UAE’s commitment to building human capital by offering training for our public service workforce. This initiative aligns with Zambia’s aspiration to deliver public services that are effective, efficient, and timely, breaking away from the rigidities and bureaucratic inefficiencies of the past.

Hakainde Hichilema,

President of the Republic of Zambia.
