A ZNS officer and her partner are now facing up to 15 years in prison following their arrest over allegations of engaging in same-sex activities — a serious criminal offence under Zambian law.


Authorities say the pair could be prosecuted under Section 155 of the Penal Code, which criminalizes homosexual acts in Zambia. This law has sparked national debate, with strong opinions both in support and against it.
